Game Designer & Game Programmer
DESCRIPTION
In this project, I worked with 5 other course members to create a prototype of a video game intended to be pitched to a publisher to secure funding. To this end, in addition to the downloadable application available via the link attached to the page, we also developed a teaser trailer, a gameplay video, and a presentation of the title containing all the critical information needed to attract potential investors, such as development timelines and the budget required to complete the project.
In the project, I took on the role of game designer and game programmer for some key game mechanics, such as the entertainment bar and the combat system. As a designer, I was responsible for balancing the enemy spawning system to maintain a consistent difficulty level throughout the experience. Additionally, I managed the activation of extra abilities, the damage dealt and received, as well as the number of lives and the size of the health bar.
